Palm Garden of Ocala, a 180 bed skilled “living” facility in Florida was built in 1987.  Typical of most facilities serving the elderly, its “Central Bathing” area was very cold, sterile, and institutional.

The facility administrator wanted the bathing experience to be a warm, comforting, relaxing experience that most people associate with bathing.  They were looking for a walk-in bath to be a perfect fit for their new Venetian Spa-themed bathing area. They were looking specifically for a walk-in bathtub with a door to make it easy to get in and out of the tub and enjoy the comfort of bathing.

Other walk in tub features and options they were looking for include the walk in door, warranty, built-in chair-height seat, fast drain water removal system for fast bath exit, deluxe back massage, legs-only massage, aromatherapy, chromatherapy, built-in grab bar and slip resistant floor.  They also chose an acrylic construction walk in bath which was an important factor for Palm Garden of Ocala because of the easy to clean surface.
